FreeBSD 7.0 with SMP

We've re-written the bridging system for FreeBSD 7.0 and the result is a truly astounding performer. Few customers have a need to do bandwidth management on 1.5 million packets/second, but then again, you've probably never floored your V8 either. Knowing the power is there is a comfort in itself.

FreeBSD has many built-in features such as LAGG interfaces for load-balancing, as well as support for the latest NICs, including 10Gb/s NICs.

v4.0 Licensing

We've completely changed our licensing format, allowing us to benefit from the scalability of our product, and allowing customers to only pay for what they need. With the high cost of shipping, we've decided it benefits everyone to allow customers to use local hardware vendors. We still have "limited" licenses, for 2Mb/s, 10Mb/s and 45Mb/s. Licenses over 45Mb/s are all unlimited and are scaled to the performance capabilities of your system.

45Mb/s Licensing

We've added a 45Mb/s license to provide a competively priced product that can take advantage of our new high-performance features without breaking the bank.

Improved Window Shaping

We've improved the granularity of our window shaping algorithm, increasing peformance and precision of traffic flows.

Improved Rule Matching

We've streamlined the most CPU intensive function and the result is a substantial increase in performance with large complex rulesets.

Corporate Licensing

We've replaced the old 2Mb/s licenses with a "corporate" license. The corporate license is a low cost license targeting corporate needs such as compression, monitoring, firewalling and statistics. Corporations can utilize our chinese hackers firewall database to protect their network, block IMs and access to social networks and other sites that steal productivity from your company, and monitor which web sites your employees are accessing.

Global Ruleset

The new Global ruleset feature allows customers with multiple flows to manage traffic as if there was only 1 flow. Suppose you have 2 pipes to the internet, and traffic flows randomly over the 2 pipes. Some of a customer's traffic is on pipe 1, and some on pipe 2. With the global ruleset, you can manage the customer's bandwidth as if it was a single flow

Column Configuration

You can now enable and disable the display of columns in the GUI.

URL Decoding

The software can not match on url parameters as well as the page. This allows exploits such as "page=http" to be discovered. Previously only pages and paths could be matched.
