ET/HSSI Adapter

The ET/HSSI adapter adds 1 or 2 HSSI ports to PC-based routers. Both ports can run up to 52Mb/s, accommodating 2 full-rate DS3 circuits. The ET/HSSI 32-bit PCI architecture utilizes single-cycle bus-mastering technology to maximize throughput and efficiency.

Software Drivers

Emerging Technologies provides full software support for running Frame Relay, Cisco HDLC and PPP over a HSSI interface. This allows a PC to connect directly to other HSSI routers (such as Cisco Systems) or Frame Relay networks at full DS3 speeds.

We wrote the drivers for the products we sell, and we fully support them. Our competitors use public code, so if you have problems you are on your own. And since they didn't write it they may not be able to fix whats wrong.
